MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL PARENT/PLAYER/COACH MTG/CONCUSSION MEETING
This is a mandatory meeting for all parents and student-athletes that are interested in playing Middle School or High School basketball.

The meeting will be held in the Main Gym on November 25th at 5:30pm.

If you are unable to attend this meeting, your student will not be able to attend practices until the information presented at the meeting is completed.

AN ATTENDANCE REMINDER FOR 2ND QUARTER
Students who are passing their classes and accumulate 5 unexcused absences in a quarter will receive a passing grade of a 60. The 60 will be written as an "S" on the report card. For an absence to be excused, students/parents must submit official documentation from a health care provider, court clerk, motor vehicle clerk, or other representative where an appointment or meeting was held.

THE L&G ATHLETIC BOOSTERS CLUB
The Boosters club is selling Leland and Gray Sweatshirts, long sleeve Ts and sweat pants. Check out the Leland and Gray Booster Club FB page to view all the great items for sale!

 FACS
The Family and Consumer Science (FACS) classes are having a Pampered Chef fundraiser, now through November 25th. Pampered Chef has a wonderful line of quality kitchen tools, cookbooks and seasonings, starting as low as $1. Your participation in this sale, whether large or small, will help the Family and Consumer Science classroom earn some of these products for the students to use. To request a catalog, contact FACS teacher Susan Jones at (802)365-7355 ext 128, or email her at sjones@lelandandgray.org. You can also order online at www.pamperedchef.biz/kimsplace.  Look at the top left and select “shows you were invited to or hosting.” Enter “Susan Jones” as the host name. Voila! View the products and order securely online. The products will be shipped DIRECTLY to you, if you choose. The products WILL be here in time for the holidays! If you spend over $75 in products you will be able to choose one of our favorite tools. Thank you in advance for supporting our classroom.

FROM THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT:
The Connecticut Valley Fall Music Festival is this weekend at Brattleboro Union High School. At 3 PM, Gabrel Vanni-Phillips, Sarah Anderson and Adam Culver will be singing in the middle school chorus. At 5 PM, Susie Francy will be performing with the jazz choir and Giannina Gaspero-Beckstrom, Carl Judd-Wright and Zoe Soule will be performing in the concert band.
The next Friends of Music meeting will be on Wednesday, Dec 4th at 6PM in the music room. All parents of music students are invited.
Mark your calendars for the Winter Concert on December 19th at 7 PM in the L&G Gym.

HEY! You!!
The Late Bus is running on Monday only next week. For information on the route and the dates it will be available for the 2013-2014 school year, please visit www.lelandandgray.org

Thanksgiving week is a short one! Look for HEY! Help Monday and Tuesday mornings (7:15-7:45) and Monday afternoon in the PTC (2:45- 4:15). On Monday, ‘Ukulele will meet in Mr. Whitman's room. There will not be any HEY! Programs or a late bus on Tuesday afternoon. Happy Thanksgiving!

The week after Thanksgiving we have few new programs and the late bus will run all week! Look for HEY! Help Mon.-Fri. mornings (7:15-7:45) and Mon.-Thurs. afternoons (2:45- 4:15). The Holiday Workshops start this week! Tues. - Thurs. afternoons this week you can join Ms. Hinds and Ms. Hanson to bake holiday cookies! On Monday, Yoga begins with Cheryl Cullen, 'Ukulele will meet in Mr. Whitman's room, and Linda Rood is back to continue the Common App Workshop. She will be here for the next three Mondays in December leading up to the January 1st deadline to meet with seniors in any part of the college application process. On Tuesday, Iron Chef meets in the FACS, Newspaper meets in the library, Weight Training continues with Mr. Russell, the Tuesday D&D group will meet in Mr. Towle's room, and RAMP will meet in Ms. Hinds' room. Wednesday, LGTV and the Wednesday D&D group will meet as usual. On Thursday, CLEA will meet in B-2 and Financial Fitness will meet in B-11.

We are looking for more chefs to join the Iron Chef team and go to Burlington to compete with other schools. See Ms. Jones if you are interested. COLLEGE INFO
There is simply too much information to put into Friday Notes. Please visit the counseling department website regularly for a calendar of events and check the bulletin boards on A and B level. If you would like to be added to an email group specifically for college info, please email Sarah Grasso at sgrasso@lelandandgray.org

FRENCH TRIP
The French trip raffle is over. Each day of November a prize will be drawn and the winners will be contacted….a big thank you to all the people who generously supported this effort. We are very grateful. Merci beaucoup!
