SCHOOL INFO:

Powerschool Changes:

The Windham Central Supervisory Union has updated Powerschool to the latest version (9.1) and there is one important change parents need to be aware of, which is to the Parent Access portal.  Parents need to create a new account.  The instructions on how to do that are located here.

Wednesday, December 23rd will be a half-day for L&G and all WCSU schools.  The buses will pick up our students at 11:30am and they will be served lunch before they leave for the holiday break.

In Program Holiday Bazaar:

The In Program cordially invites you to the annual holiday bazaar.

When:  December 15, 16 and 17th
Where: The In Program also know as C1
Time:   8:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Junior Class Fundraiser:

Dribbling and Dunking, Saturday 12/12 at noon, grades 1-6
An afternoon of basketball skills and games with Leland and Gray Varsity players
Meet in the main gym lobby at 12:00 for snacks or 1:00 to play

Project Feed the Thousands:

The Leland and Gray Chapter of the National Honor Society wraps up Project Feed the Thousands and its winter clothing/bedding drive on December 22.  If you have items to donate and need information as to how to do so, contact advisor Annie Landenberger at alandenberger@lelandandgray.org or 365-7355 x 204.  Heartfelt thanks from NHS --and
from the community--for all that's been donated thus far.

Music Department Winter Concert:

The Leland and Gray Music Department will be putting on its Winter Concert on Thursday December, 17 at 7:00pm in the main gym. The high school and middle school ensembles will be performing an exciting mix of works from high-adrenaline contemporary band pieces to folk music from around the world to big band jazz standards and beyond! All are welcome, admission is free, and there will be refreshments sold by the L&G Friends of Music.

Annual Winter Art Show:

The visual art students at Leland and Gray have been creating some exquisite work over the last few months, an exemplary sampling of which will be on display at the Winter Art Show in the school's activity room. The show's opening will take place at 6:30 on December 17th prior to the music department's concert in the gym. Come enjoy the artwork with us!

8th Grade Parents:

8th grade homework assignments build on what has happened that day in class.  The lesson is taught and assignments are typically begun in class.  They need to be completed before the next class.  Without completed homework, students will not be as successful in the next day.  This design is intended to help 8th graders become more independent learners, a skill needed for high school.  Please check Power School daily to see what the day's homework assignment is, and ask to see your child's homework when it is completed.

Juniors & Seniors & Their Parents/Guardians:

Every week Sarah sends out an E-newsletter containing all things college and career. Many of you are on the list to receive it, but many are not! There is so much information pertaining to life after high school, this is the most effective way to communicate it to you. If you do NOT get this e-letter, please email Sarah and request to be added to the list. sgrasso@lelandandgray.org
