School Calendar:
Please make sure to check out the Leland & Gray school calendar. It differs from the District calendar because of professional development days for our faculty. The full calendar can be found here.
Blast From the Past:
The Class of 2021 invites all high school students to the high school semi-formal, Blast From the Past, on Saturday, January 26th, 2019, from 7-10 pm. Tickets are $5.00 per person and will be sold at the door. Put your dancing shoes on and come dance the night away to a selection of music from the 80's , 90's, early 2000's and today. Guests are welcome and must be at least grade 9 and under 21 years of age as of May 31, 2019. Guests MUST have a "School Dance Form" approved prior to the dance. Forms are available in the front office, or from Mrs. Jones. Semi formal attire required: guys, dress pants and button -up shirt; ladies, dress pants and top or cocktail dresses please. Refreshments will be served, for an additional cost.
2019 Winter Activity Frequently Asked Questions:
1. How do students get their ski's and/or snowboards to school for Stratton?
Students need to have their ski's and/or snowboards dropped off at L&G and stored outside the Main Office to be transported to and fro the mountain. They are not allowed to bring them on the buses to and from school or the mountain.
2. What times do the buses return form the Winter Activities that leave L&G?
Bowling, Ice Skating, Gerda's Rescue and Rock Climbing all return to school by 2:40pm for the buses. They leave their sites around 2pm.
The Stratton bus leaves the mountain at 4pm and returns around 4:30pm to L&G.
3. Where do students sign out that don't use L&G transportation for their Winter Activity?
Middle school students that ride with a parent/guardian and/or relative sign out in Mrs. Chen's room on A level.
High School students that ride with a parent/guardian and/or relative sign out in the Main Office with Patty Brissette.
High school students that drive themselves to their Winter Activity sign out on C level with Phoebe Connolly.
4. What time are students allowed to leave school to drive to their winter activity?
Students that drive themselves are allowed to leave school and sign out with the appropriate person at 11:30am.

Snow Day Routine Change:
This year we have changed our routine with regards to snow days and our day rotations (green/white and A/B/C). The change - reflected in the attached calendars (click here) is that when we have a snow day, we will SKIP the intended day and NOT PUSH it. 3GC Outreach Assistant
Spring 2019
The 3GC Outreach Assistant will work closely with the coordinators of 3 Generations Collaboration to assist with outreach and publicity for our volunteer and community service program.
This internship will help you practice some communication and marketing skills, and you will also have the opportunity to learn about how a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization functions. (Did you know that about 1 out of every 7 Vermont workers is employed by a non-profit organization?)
We expect the intern will work an average of one hour per day, M-F, with most of the time spent on the L&G campus. However, off-campus travel and different hours may be arranged for special projects.
Job responsibilities:
- Help form a student advisory committee.
- Help 3GC keep in contact with the schools, other community organizations, and volunteers.
- Attend one meeting of the Board of Directors, if possible.
- Possible other activities, depending on the intern's abilities (examples: photograph volunteers, help with a mailing or fundraising event, etc).
Job Functions required:
Use phone and communicate clearly
Be organized and pay attention to details
Use email, and possible other computer programs
Be willing to learn new skills

Applicants should summarize in 5,000 characters or less how the project will involve others, who it will help, what effect it is expected to have, when it will start, and how the funds will be used. Deadline: Rolling.

Winter District Music Festival:
Leland & Gray is hosting the CVMFA Winter District Music Festival this year on February 1 and 2. We will have students here from at least 13 different schools for the HS Chorus, HS Jazz Band and the MS Concert Band.
