As Vermont inches closer to the 80% vaccination rate set by Governor Scott as the marker for many restrictions being lifted, we are already starting to see things change around us. For example, the town of Brattleboro lifted its mask mandate effective today! For schools, however, these changes have little effect on our rules for the remainder of the school year. We will continue to mask up, have distancing, and have limits on other events. For example, our concert on Tuesday will be outdoors and we won’t be having a Class Night this year. However, if events are changed prior to graduation, we may be able to open up that event and not have seating pods, masks, and limits for families. So please stay tuned as events may change, but please encourage your child to continue for the rest of the school year following the rules, even though they see the “outside world” changing.
Vaccine Clinic Information
Please remember that the 2nd dose is on Tuesday, June 15th - and since there is no school, you will need to provide transportation. The trailer will be in the same place next to Dutton.

6/14 Make up day - morning bus run at normal time; but this is an early dismissal day with the afternoon bus running at 11:30.

Prom
L&G prom will be (Mask)Quarade and will be held on June 12th (Saturday) from 6-11pm. We will be in a tent behind the school, and a meal will be provided. There will be a Grand March planned, and details will be shared with prom goers!
Graduation
Our 2021 Commencement Ceremony will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 19th. Because we’re limited to outdoor activities, if the weather is poor, our “rain date” is 10am on Sunday, June 20th! Senior families will be receiving more detailed information shortly in a separate communication. Please be aware that changes may occur, although they may not. School guidance for all school events are considered separate from the Vermont Forward Plan. Not all of the “public” guidance applies to school functions.
HS Credit Recovery from COVID
If your child is missing credits (Inc or IE) from last spring or this past fall semesters, you’ll be receiving communication from Samantha Harlow about how to make up those credits, including a short summer recovery camp immediately after school ends. The Nature Museum: Summer Camp Assistant Positions:
Up to 40hrs/week during camp season, primarily from June 21th - August
13th. Preparation and training will take place during the week of June 21st. Total of up to 300 hours over the course of the summer. Hourly Rate: $12-15/hr. Rate of pay dependent upon experience. This is a seasonal position that is not eligible for benefits.

We are seeking an individual who is interested in a position with a local employer that could lead to a career in the environmental field. This is a full time position with all of the benefits Stratton Corporation has to offer and an opportunity to be part of a team working in the water and wastewater treatment industry. This type of work is steady and stable and we provide on the job training. The applicant should have a good work ethic, a love of the outdoors and a willingness to learn a trade. Some background in math and science helps as they will be required to pass certification exams to obtain their Water and Wastewater licenses. Most importantly is the ability to work with others and be a good fit with our team.
