VSAC at College & Career Pathways

Join VSAC at College & Career Pathways 2024 for a FREE event to help families plan for education and training after high school. On March 23rd, families can participate in-person at UVM or online via Zoom. Attend live workshops on how to choose, apply to, and pay for education after high school; get test prep tips from a professional tutor; discover free local resources to support your teen’s career search; learn about short-term training opportunities for in-demand jobs; and connect with experts on postsecondary options for students who learn differently. All sessions will also be recorded for future viewing. Find out more and register at vsac.org/ccp.

Career Center in Brattleboro

On Tuesday, February 6th, the 10th grade will be traveling to the Windham Regional Career Center in Brattleboro. The students will get to tour the facility and visit all of the programs that are offered. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about what is available to them as they move into the second half of their high school careers. We will leave at 8:30 and return in time for D block. Lunch will be provided. If you do NOT want your student to attend, please email or call Sarah directly before Tuesday.

Flu, COVID, RSV, Colds - A Note from the School Nurse:

Typical of this time of year, there are multiple viral illnesses visiting our district. Please stay home if you are ill, wash your hands frequently, cover your cough, rest if you are ill, drink plenty of fluids, and call your PCP if you have any concerns.  Vaccines are an important part of protecting yourself and your loved ones.

Teen Studio After School Classes

Teen open studio allows you to work on paintings, drawings and other art related projects developed individually with guidance and support by your teacher. Your teacher will interact with you while you are making art, allowing everyone to develop their own projects and devise their own approaches. Instruction, technical advice, tools and materials are provided at appropriate times, with as much or as little assistance as you desire. Creating art during our weekly sessions brings commitment and camaraderie and makes the art-making gatherings rewarding, challenging, and fun. Options include drawing, painting, sculpture, figure drawing, printmaking, Sequencing, composition, and color mixing. Teen Studio for ages 12-18. Drop-ins welcomed!
