Friday Notes 5/14/21

SCHOOL INFO:

May 14, 2021

[URGENT UPDATE - This morning, we shared with our students that a car accident last night has left two of our students injured, one critically.  Our counseling staff has been meeting with students throughout the day.  More information will be shared, as it becomes available.  Please keep the families in your thoughts and prayers.]

Welcome to mid-May!  We are getting very close to the end of the school year, which means lots of opportunities to recognize the successes of this year!  I want to thank everyone for their commitment to making sure that SBACs ran smoothly this week, especially to all the students who took the state assessment seriously.

Vaccine Clinic Information

Rescue, Inc. will be providing a vaccination clinic here at L&G for students ages 12 and up.  This will occur on Tuesday, May 25th from 12pm - 3:30pm.  Appointments must be made in advance via the VDH website.  The second dose is scheduled for June 15th from 12pm -3:30pm as well.  Please note that this is NOT a school day, and families will need to transport their children here for that second dose!  The clinic will be set up in the front driveway on both days near the Dutton Gym.  Included in this edition of the Friday Notes, are two important vaccination-related documents: 1) A Vermont Department of Health information sheet on the vaccine for kids, and 2) information about a zoom meeting for parents to learn more and ask questions with the VDH.    Any other questions, please contact Jorda Daigneault at jdaigneault@lelandandgray.org.

Spirit Week

The week of May 17th is Spirit Week, and of course, like all things during COVID, it will look a little different, but the student council and the adults helping them have worked hard to make it be an amazing experience.  We have a series of dress up days to start:
